Expectations and Responsibilities

Our Ideals
WCRC offers a variety of recreational activities and selection of youth sports and art programs generally supporting grades K-8. WCRC emphasizes instruction and fundamental skill development while helping youth build their personal character through dedication, commitment, persistence and resiliency. This is done by upholding the ideals of CCRP Code of Conduct and principles of sportsmanship.

How to Participate
Registrations for the programs are throughout the year and generally are open several months prior to the start of the program season. Please see the Program List for more information specific to each offering. At the time of registration participants will generally need to:

  • show proof of age (birth certificate or MVA ID)
  • show proof of medical insurance (program participants are required to carry their own medical insurance. If school age participants do not have insurance, accident coverage can be purchased through the Carroll County Public Schools Board of Education sponsored plan K12 Voluntary Student Accident. Contact the plan administrator at 1-855-742-3135 for more information or to purchase coverage.)
  • complete a registration form (paper or online via Blue Sombrero)
  • sign a code of conduct agreement
  • sign a concussion information sheet

How to Stay in Good Standing
As a sponsored program by the Carroll County Recreation and Parks program all WCRC programs participants, coaches, referees, spectators and volunteer staff must abide by county codes and rules.
